Where’s the cute? BabyCenter, that’s where.

I know what you’re thinking. No posts in how many months? She’s abandoned ship!

Nope! Not even close. In fact, the Pursuit of Cute is in the process of getting a fancy new face and if all goes well, a couple of partners in crime. (cross your fingers!)

In the meantime, I’m sharing my picks, reviewing products and playing Santa Claus on my employer’s newly re-launched blog, BabyCenter’s Momformation.com.

In addition to sharing the ups and downs of parenting and some good celeb mom gossip, “Momfo” just added some amazing new bloggers to talk about all of the other stuff we love as moms…kid-friendly food, activities, crafts, home design, organization, fashion and everything in between. Bloggers like John and Sherry from design blog Young House Love, Catherine McCord from food blog Weelicious, Alicia and Sarah from organization blog Get Buttoned Up and of course, and fun picks from Elina Furman at Mamaista and Liz and Kristen from Cool Mom Picks.

There’s a lot to see. You’ll love it. I promise.

See you there!

Because one can never have too many bags!

It’s that time of year again – SHOPPING TIME! This year, I’m going to do my best to avoid all those plastic store bags by bringing along some of the cute tote bags I’ve been collecting this year. Here are a few of my favorites…

MOD GREEN POD LICORICE/EARL GREY TOTE BAG

GreyTote

This tote from organic fabric maker ModGreenPod is the polar opposite of those boxy grocery store bags. Stylish, durable and 100% organic, this bag is perfect for a trip to the mall. Comes in a bunch of different patterns in red, gold, chocolate brown and blue.  Available at MightyNest – $24.99

MIGHTYNEST TOTE BAG

MNBag

I use this one all the time for trips to the post office, the gym or as an easy diaper bag. Big enough to carry alot but small enough to throw in my purse. 100% organic and water based inks.  Available at MightyNest – $16.99

 NEELA MARKET PACK
giraffe

RedPlum.com featured this on in their $30 under 30 holiday gift ideas and I can see why … cute AND very functional. This reusable Market Pack contains five Fold-Up Market Totes in a stylish carrying case. They come in colorful prints like ocean damask, kelly green circles, a raspberry box pattern and two different giraffe designs. Available at Neela.com – $28 (for 6 bags)

Ok – off to the mall with bags in hand. Enjoy. :)

No, I’m not lying under something heavy

back_soonI’m still here! Just busy with all sorts of blogging things that have kept me from my pursuit!. Here are some fun posts to show you what I’ve been doing….

Taking on eco-challenges over at MightyNest (i need support! @ecochallenged)

Giving away strollers on BabyCenter’s Momformation.com

Showing off the loves of my life over at samandjack.com

But don’t fret. I’ve got tons of cute things in my head that need to come out soon.  I’ll be back!

Finally … an excuse to buy more bags!

If you must know the truth…I really didn’t start to think about ways I could go “green” until the grocery stores started selling re-usable bags. I mean, come on. Cute AND functional bags for 99 cents being sold to you at the exact moment you need them? Is there anything easier? I’m on board!!

There’s everything from The Sheryl Crow designed bag at Whole Foods to Stop ‘n Shop’s Susan G. Komen “Pink” bag. Just bought a few of those yesterday! (shhhh…dont tell my husband. He’s starting to notice we’re literally being overrun by these things….but i always forget them and have to buy more!)

OR – if you’re a big spender – hop on over to reusablebags.com for a trillion choices including this cute ultra-compact bag from Envirosax going for about 8 bucks. The choices are endless…happy shopping!
